How this calculation works
The calculator treats the loaded truck bed as a rectangular volume: length × usable width × loaded height. Cubic feet are converted to cubic yards using 27 cubic feet = 1 cubic yard.
Because pickup beds differ by model and wheel-well shape, DebrisPilot does not assume that every pickup holds the same amount. Entering your own usable dimensions gives a more transparent planning estimate.
Formula
Bed volume (ft³) = length × width × loaded height
Bed volume (yd³) = cubic feet ÷ 27
Equivalent pickup loads = debris cubic yards ÷ cubic yards per bed load
